Kangana Ranaut, who is all set to star in the biopic of late Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa, has started prepping for the role and is very dedicatedly working on acing her role in the film. However, the film has already landed in trouble and just recently J Jayalalithaa’s niece Deepa Jayakumar, had moved the Madras High Court, seeking a stay on two in-production projects - a film and a web series - based on the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s life. Now as per the latest report in Indian Express, Madras High Court has issued a notice to three filmmakers.

According to the report in Indian Express, The Madras High Court issued a notice to director Gowtham Vasudev Menon and others on a plea opposing their proposed biopic on J Jayalalithaa. Filmmakers Gowtham Vasudev Menon, Vishnu Vardhan Induri and A L Vijay are to respond to a plea moved by Jayalalithaa’s niece Deepa Jayakumar and Justice K Kalyanasundaram sought the filmmakers’response when the application came up for hearing. J Jayalalithaa’s niece Deepa had submitted that she was a legal heir of the late CM, and said that the filmmakers should have sought her consent before making the movie. According to the report, Deepa apprehended that the filmmakers might have their ‘own version’ of the portrayal of her aunt as well as hers. Affecting her privacy.
